Bernina Pass. High Alps. Real Adventure.
We meet directly at the historic Hospiz Bernina (exact time communicated prior). Our primary mission begins with capturing the sunset against the dramatic backdrop of the High Alps.
After a warm dinner together, we head back out into the dark to shoot the Milky Way. On Sunday morning, we share breakfast, review our photos from the night before, and head our separate ways.

Very accessible. We will only walk about 1-2km. Normal fitness is perfectly fine. However, in winter, walking through unpredictable snow depths requires a bit more stamina and warm winter boots.
Alpine weather at 2,300m is unforgiving. Bring a wind/waterproof jacket, thick warm layers, a hat, and gloves. A headlamp (preferably with a red light) is mandatory for the night shoot.
No. If you choose shared lodging at Hospiz Bernina, the room is charged at actual cost, with no markup, and any surplus is refunded. You may book your own lodging instead. Meals and drinks are your own expense. The only fee I sell is photography tuition.
You arrange your own transport to Hospiz Bernina. We meet about 3 hours before sunset (e.g., around 16:00 from April to October). The workshop concludes after breakfast and an image review on Sunday. During the shoot, we travel on foot.
Absolutely! Photography beginners are welcome. I will help you set up your tripod and dial in the manual settings required for astrophotography.
Camera with manual mode, a wide-angle lens, a sturdy tripod, spare batteries (cold kills them fast), winter clothing, and a headlamp.
