Before you book
Read this before you send a booking or a workshop inquiry. The full text is in the terms.
- Only tuition is the service you buy. That amount is separate from every other cost. Nothing else is sold as part of that price.
- You book your own hotel and transport. Book them in your own name and pay the hotel or the carrier directly. Where a free-cancellation rate is offered, book that rate. A full hotel, a forgotten reservation, or a cheaper non-refundable rate does not cancel the tuition.
- The tuition is due 30 calendar days before the first day. Cancel 14 or more calendar days before that day and the tuition is reimbursed in full. From then until 7 calendar days before, half is reimbursed. Fewer than 7 calendar days before, none of it is reimbursed. Weekends count.
- The cost pool is a second, optional amount. It is not the tuition. If you choose to share actual costs, you pay those costs with no markup. If less is spent than was collected, the difference is refunded. You can decline the pool and still take the tuition.
- You must hold your own insurance. Health insurance that covers outdoor activity, mountain rescue, and repatriation, and insurance for your photography equipment. Travel cancellation insurance is recommended, not required. The instructor does not arrange or check any insurance.
- Weather and light are not guaranteed. A grey day or no aurora is not a fault in the teaching.
- You take the risk of your own choices. Slipping because you wore sneakers in snow or on ice is your responsibility. If the instructor deliberately leads you onto a surface that was stated to be unsafe, the instructor remains responsible to the extent Swiss law requires.
- Ombudsman membership is not stated on this site. The terms do not say that VaymanART is or is not a member, affiliated, or covered, and they do not say whether Kundengeldabsicherung is in place. They link to the Ombudsman’s own page about when its procedure applies.
This page is a plain-language summary of the contract we offer. It is not legal advice. Mandatory Swiss law prevails if it conflicts with this summary.
